Funny....I didn't realize that the Constitution 'appealed' more to a person depending on their political orientation. It's a document to ensure that our rights are protected. We are lucky that it is in place, because our leaders on both sides have done everything they can to comprimise our freedoms for the sake of 'security'. I would rather die free than live a life of fear. The terrorists AND the politicians can BOTH kiss my white BUTT!!!

Most liberal I have spoken to on the issue think that guns should be regulated about as much as cars -- license the driver to make sure they know what they're doing, maybe require insurance.
Personally, I'd rather not restrict lawful use of anything -- guns, cars, cell phones -- and instead punish people if they actually commit any HARM -- forget about this "risk management" garbage.
But, in the end, it's a state's issue -- because the 2nd Amendment only protects against federal regulation, and it's up to the states to take it from there.

please realize that the constitution is not a document against the people but is the most anti-government document ever written. it reserves all power to the people and to guarantee that freedom states the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. the prohibition against owning a fully automatic is recent (1935 or so). please read the federalist papers. as to the libs discovering the 2ND amendment all of a sudden well the gun owners handed them several election defeats and are prepared to vote for their guns. just a leopard trying to change their spots is all the libs are.

the excellent courtroom docket, no longer liberals, honestly did the two, do away with the desire for a amazing regulated defense force to possess weapons, and supported the right of privateness for a woman and her medical expert to make a scientific determination to terminate a being pregnant. The courtroom docket held that, in regard to abortions in the path of the 1st trimester, the alternative must be left to the judgment of the pregnant woman’s medical expert. In regard to 2nd trimester pregnancies, states could sell their pursuits indoors the mum’s nicely being by way of technique of regulating abortion methods on the subject of the nicely being of the mum. concerning 0.33 trimester pregnancies, states could sell their pursuits indoors the potentiality of human lifestyles by way of technique of regulating or maybe prohibiting abortion, different than on the comparable time as mandatory to maintain the lifestyles or nicely being of the mum.

it is a myth that "libs" are against the 2nd amendment.
the vast majority of democrats support the right of americans to own hunting rifles and licensed handguns for personal safety.
no one is trying to take away your 2nd amendment rights, so stop complaining
(and no, there's nothing in the 2nd amendment that says that Joe Schmo private citizen should have the right to own an automatic assault weapon)

My government ceased to exist the moment Bush declared himself above the law and unaccountable to *anyone*.
What makes you think that you can go around parading the second amendment--like it's the ONLY important part of the Constitution--when you, Bush, and the rest of his brain-washed constituents have TRASHED it?
