A place like Newegg can buy 100,000 of each thing, and get huge discounts, a store like Bestbuy can't really buy more than 100 of anything.

Bestbuy has more employees to support as well as the stores, warehouses and distribution. Newegg, on the other hand, only operates with warehouses and their corporate center.

sales taxes, plus retail stores know alot of people don't like ordering online so they hijack the price cause they know people will pay it. Also, if someone needs it in a hurry, they will pay any price to get it.
