What kind of Linksys router do you have? I bought a WRT54G Version 6 a year ago and the thing was a complete pile of sh!t right out of the shrinkwrapped box. Definitely not what I expected from Linksys (owned by Cisco). Anyways, find out what version and model router you have and see if Linksys has any firmware updates for it -- that may fix your headaches. I had to wait a year for them to fix my headaches. I'm never buying Linksys again.

The decrease the sign potential, the extra possibly you're to have transmission errors and re-transmissions - which lowers your throughput velocity. you could attempt shifting the router around some to verify in case you will get a much better sign. 3. Get a repeater/community extender to plug into your residing house. 4. If the two certainly one of you're heavy internet purchasers, like taking part in WOW on the comparable time, there is only lots bandwidth, so as that is affecting your velocity besides.
