Time keeps on ticking.
Your maps will get updated about once every two years or so. Otherwise, terrorists would use it to attack our country.
Hey, it's free.
Good luck and Happy Computing!

The images on Google Earth and Google maps are anything from 3 to 5 years old.
My honest opinion is that more recent images are not available for purely security reasons.
There are some really fantastic resolution images for various other parts of the world but not USA.

Google Earth`s pictures of where I live are totally incorrect. Where I live is surrounded by fields, lots of them, but Google Earth has it totally wrong.

For reasons of Homeland Security, Google must only update every 2-3 years.

'cos it would cost them a fortune to keep on buying up to date images for the whole of GOOGLE EARTH, so they have to prioritise over which ones are likely to get the most interest.
