I read in a forum, that i can no longer find, that a Rx7 13B-t Rotary engine will bolt up to one of the MX6's or 626's Transmissions and I was wondering if anyone on here has heard of that b/c if it can then I am going to be doing that engine swap instead of the KL-ZE swap. Any info will be helpful, thanks, also if you know about this please feel free to explain what trans. i need...ect.

Please don't start with the "buy a Rx7" crap! I am trying to build a really fast sleeper! That is my goal, and if this can be done then no one around where I live will expect it.

Pretty sure trans is different. In any event, it would be a really difficult swap. The Turbo 13B has a ton of extra stuff that goes with it, including the ICU (the brain), air flow sensor, inter-cooler, and the exhaust system. The exhaust in particular would be a real nightmare.

I would go with either a turbo or supercharger and maybe add nitrous. This would be much, much less expensive and would make for a much more livable car when you are done

Anything can be done, but you would be throwing tons of money at it to put the rotary in that car.

WOLOLOOO let the rookies out of this....
yes it can fit here in puerto rico i work with a friend of mine and other guys and we have a 626 92 with rotary engine

so YES IS POSSIBLE ! ! but..... did you know how hard is? or have any idea how hard is it? i guess you are not but if that is your project car it will be super fun making one mx6 93 they are looking good so good luck

for better results take a big box and draw the siluete of the rotary engine and your trans too and look if they match

the engine we use was a 12a not sure about the 13b

if youve read it see if you can find it. do your research. get all the info you can such as bol patterns clutch and flywheel sizes and the alike, if its something you wanna do then go for it. But You will have to make custom stuff like engine mounts and maybe even adapter plates. Being FWD doesnt have much to do with. VW's and porches both use transaxles, soame setup just at the back of the car instead of the front and people put rotarys in those all the time. Just do your research. Might be that all you have to do is get a trans from one of those cars and make up some costum mounts.

I don't think it will. These are two very different cars.
If this is not a common well-document swap then its going to be a pain in the *** to fabricate this stuff. Unless your rich or a master mechanic, you can't do it.
