they blurted it out in front of everyone, claiming it was a compliment--how would you feel?

I would be insulted. Even if they say they meant it as a compliment. It's great if they were trying to be nice, but that would not make me feel good at all.

Say, "Good she's rich"!! Don't take it personal. That seems to be the joke these days. She even makes fun of her lack of sex appeal. Laugh it off and don't take a dumb joke to that to heart. You could also say, "That's funny, because your hair is reminding me of Donald Trump. Who's your hairdresser?". That's only if you want to get back at them. They were probley drunk anyway. I hate patronizing bullies. I don't get why they like to be mean and then say it was a joke. They get off on mind games. It's unnessecary drama you don't need. Sometimes I act like I just didn't hear the person. Especially when I can think of a good come back.

I think people do it as a compliment, because she's famous, not realizing it hurts your feelings because she's ugly and fat and gay and is too stupid for her own good!
