dgfos, I must do..I'm even peein myself at your answer. Surely "mad" people talking to themselves, wouldn't question they're own motives, they would just succumb to any suggestion.

I tend to have the good angel and bad devil syndrome - I do tend to chanter on a bit sometimes and then just pop out whatever initially comes into my mind - then, depending on whether or not I like the sound of the answer depends on whether or not I call for the backup with the wings and halo or the one with the funny fork and horns..........

I don't think that there's anything wrong in chatting on to yourself for a moment but I really do need to know if it wrong to physically scragg up cupboard doors as though they are your worst enemys after bumping your head on an open one?!?!?

That happens to me all the time. Myself & I talk it through and reach an understanding, though sometimes we have to agree to differ.

The concept of the self. George Herbert Mead. Most of us have a dialogue running in our heads. In times of stress, we chastise ourselves for our actions and so on.

I get mad and annoyed with myself a lot. Why didn't I do it differently? Why did I do that? Why can't I just deal with these issues and put them behind me? Why can't I accept it and move on? etc etc... I am one very sad and mixed up person trying to deal with PTSD.

:-)))

over active mind...stress anxiety its all normal ''mad'' doesn't describe going mental...you cant prevent it but you can take time out to put all of your thoughts into order to really take a look at them.
