I went today, and it was great! A bit weird having someones fingers in my mouth, but not scary.

uh cause when i was 9 i had a root canal..that bastard wouldn't stop sticking me in the gums and back of the mouth. but hey we're even i bite him.

I hate going to the dentist! I think that I must have had a bad experience when I was young. It is a bit embarrassing at my age to warn my dentist that I have been known to bite. He's a good guy though and makes it as easy as possible for me.

Maybe it's because some dentist procedures can be painful so people associate going to the dentist with pain.

DEntists have the highest rate of suicides in the medical profession. Maybe people are afraid knowing that the doctor may be out forever!

Because of all the pain getting stuck with needles and having your mouth stuck wide open during the procedure, which in itself hurts.

I'm not scared now after experiencing the pain of my teeth, you have to close your eyes while the dentist does his work, because he uses too many injections, that's why if you keep your eyes closed you won't even know that he's using injections!
you won't feel scared anymore :)

I love my dentist. He's great. He'd never let me feel any pain.
we go drink at the bar sometimes and I taught/tutored him in c++. He payed me in video games, free cleaning for 2 years, and gave me the complete low down on home dentistry.
I'm accepting patients, but only have bourbon as a pain killer.

Don't get me started I have a pile of papers about my dentist and what he did to me
He should be burned at the stake
I have the proof but the State Dept of health just ignored it

they are scared that the might have to put 2 needles or surgey in their mouth, i got 2 cavities and1 filling followed by 2 needle and a painfull tooth-yanking out woth a pair of tongs....
