lost.

i'm lost
and i don't know what to do
my mind is so confused
must be thinkin' too hard
about you

i miss you
you're the first girl i had
we sailed a thousand seas
undercovers
and now i lie here drowning
wondering who the other is

come back to me
just this once
i swear i won't let you down
embrace me one last time
because i'm lost
without you

It's not bad, but it seems to be...I don't know. What's the word I'm looking for? I guess it's a bit shallow.

According to Aristotle's philosophy on art ("Art is that which touches upon universal human experience") it almost qualifies as art. However, it seems to me more of something that would be in a love letter, not necessarily in a poem.

Keep writing though, if this is one of your own. It's not bad. I give it three stars out of five.

Not bad. It was only 3 stanzas and yet you did a good job in writing about your thoughts of being lost in this special someone. Maybe the title of the poem could be "Lost in You."
