For example matter+anti-matter, or matter+/-energy spontaneously produced out of nothing. If this is possible, can it be one possible theory for the beginning of our universe?

Current theory says yes, particle-antiparticle pairs are produced and either annihliate or not all the time.

This is also the basis for so-called Hawkins radiation of a black hole: At the event horizon classical theory says there can be zero matter or energy. But Heisenberg says "exactly zero" is not possible and so particle/antiparticle pairs come into and go out of existance. Some escape as radiation.

Of course this is still theory as no one has observed black hole radiation as of yet. But energetic particle-antiparticle pair production has been observed in colliders.

Is it a basis for a creation theory? It has, in fact, been touted about, but it is not the current prevalent theory. m-bran theory seems to be in that seat at the moment. A theory of particle-antiparticle creation would also have to include gravity.

Yes. But the amount of time that these particles can exist before the annihilate each other is limited by how massive they are. More massive particles can survive only for shorter periods of time. This is called the polarization of the vacuum and has been measured.

There have been people who tried to explain the Big Bang from this effect. The basic idea is that one of these fluctuations got out of control (in a sense). THis is possible because the vacuum where nothing exists is actually of higher energy than one where things exist. The Big Bang draws off the energy of this difference.

Heisenberg's loan dept. will let you take out some energy, and you can produce a particle/anti-particle pair at your leisure, so long as you do it quick before the note matures. Virtual pair production keeps so-called empty space hopping. Check out the Casimir effect, which studies the resulting negative pressure effect between close parallel plates.

Some have speculated our universe could be a form of quantum fluctuation. Hope the note isn't due any time soon.

You are at the basic disagreement of the Universe.
1. Those that say some thing can come from nothing.
2. Those that say no thing can come from nothing.

I side with #2 and I go further to say that the Universe is defined as that which exists.
By that definition "nothing" does not exist in the Universe.
By the same definition "zero" does not exist in the Universe. Zero is an interesting concept but any equation that uses zero is incorrect at the zero point.

If you hold to these arguments then the rest of the Universe works out quite well and logically.

Enjoy your discovery of the Universe. It really is the best and only place to be..... by definition

What physics calls nothing wasnt really nothing . The Nothing was Created. Biblically it is refered to ,as a Created substance.
It is on this substance of space that all mass structures are contained.
Therefore Space substance( the nothing= or what the chinese call the "Chi") is responsible for holding all micromasses into a spherical volume. It envelops the electron with different layers existing at different densities.
If enough Power was given to knockout the electron out of its shell ;The volume of the shell would still remain locked into its original shape. The shell without the electron inside is called a Positron.
When the Electrons re-enters the Positron ,it breaks up into its basic micromass components which would radiate out at the speed of light.

Hence ,we could postulate that matter and antimatter are made up of all the same basic substance.

In the Biblical record of Creation in Genesis one- chapter- one ,it is indicated that the substance of the Heavens and also the substance of the Earth was also created.
So here we have matter and anti matter.
It all depends how Physisits and Cosmologists interpret their beliefs of what the concept of energy and mass structures relates to.
