First off, when you're going to compare the two, compare them on one subject at first.

Right now you're comparing a certain type of computer's hardware to Mac's Software.

Well, hardware wise, a PC is much, much more customizable. I'd rather not be restricted to what Apple (The next Big Evil?) says I can have.

Software wise, Mac's are horrible. Apple controls the vast majority of it, again limiting what you can and cannot do.

I've never found the Mac's I've used to be much good for anything I do anyway, but then again, I'm not one for attempting to write a song.

Since when did a type of hardware get viruses, anyway?

I believe you're trying to compare Microsoft Windows to to Mac OSX, no?

Either way, why use either?

I suppose we could all convert over to a Mac, or maybe Linux, how about we all use ZOS or VMS but this really wouldn't stop the problem not if everyone migrated to the same OS. It is not that there are so many more vulnerabilities for one than the other it is that when 90% of the populice uses a particular OS if you want your virus or worm to do well you attack that group. Same goes for why so many software manufactorers focus on the PC industry. Yes when you are a small portion of the populice you are not as likely to be targeted but if you are no longer a small portion of the populice thing would change.

Look, this is to all the arrogant snobs that use Mac. Mac is not immune from viruses. You don't have some magical box in front of you that no one can "hack". I have so many people tell me to switch to Mac. If everyone went to Mac, then people would write malware for it, and Windows would be less feared. I use Linux as well as Windows. I have them both for different reasons. Do I like Macs? Sure... you going to buy me one?

Smart users do not have to go to Macs to avoid viruses. By the way, you Mac users have a false sense of security - because they can be exploited as well - though I would agree not as easily.
Many people choose to dual boot and use Linux - like Ubuntu for instance.
You Mac users can now go back to drinking your bottled water and driving your Volvo's!! Eeehh! - fat people!

I love my PC for many reasons, but mostly because I built it myself, and it's a very empowering thing to do (especially for a woman). Also, I don't have to hand it over to anyone and pay through the nose for the privilege of getting it fixed - I can pretty much do it myself.

Although Macs are much safer than Windows machines, Windows seems to have more support and is usually cheaper than Macs for hardware and sometimes software.

That, and probably most people don't know about Mac's security.

Norton Internet Security works wonders. That's one of the reasons EVERYONE isn't on MAC.

Macs are the best.

Usable and intuitive, vista is just a copy of osx aswell.

As for this crap about theres no programs for it???
If you want office you can get office.... if thats your bag.
You are not restricted to Apple software.. u spanner whoeva wrote that.

You can do ANYTHING with a mac. AND its not as complicated as pc/windows.

All that money u spend customising ur pc and time wasted waiting for it to whzzz and whurrr till it turns itself on u might aswell buy a quality piece of equipment that will last and two yrs down the line it'll run as smoothly as when u first bought it..... unlike u no who.

They are expensive because they are reliable, quality, well thought out, simple, intuitive and inspiring machines.

Oh yeah i'll have a dell please... with vista osx.

Dont knock the mac cos it will hack chunks out of your pc.

I dont dislike pcs i just love mac, BUT i do dislike these pc owners who try and cane us mac owners because we have better machines. Its like Small Man Syndrome for pc owners, oops watch out ur pc might have this virus as well ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!
