Some people, yes. Especially bisexual. Once they fall in love, they tend to consider themselves either gay or straight, depending on who they fall in love with.
I always considered myself bi, but when I fell deeply in love with a man, I started assuming I was straight. Now that he's dead, I realize I'm still bi.

I most certainly do.
I would point out, however, that curiosity is not the same thing as being a full-fledged lesbian, gay, or bisexual.
Sadly, some do love the attention - while those of us that deal with it on a daily basis could do with rather less of it.

i think so, most people psychologically need a major change in their life in order to form a more stable sense of identity, thus sexuality, being the easiest label to change, can be a phase

I suppose it is possible that some people do try on different sexual preferences. A friend of mine calls it working both sides of the salad bar. I do think however that a prference does develope eventually.

In reality there is no such thing as definitive gay, bi or strait people. It's one big grey area - most people fluctuate around it during their lives. Gay people can have hetrosexual feelings and vice versa.

I have seen this be true for women who were with women as a result of a sever sexual trauma brought on by a man. If a man comes along and treats them properly, then they will be with him and that relationship could last.
