I find confrontations dreadfully unpleasant, so I try to avoid them at all costs; however, if someone goads me into one, by not giving me my space, my response is like that of a cornered cat...I can verbally excoriate a person in a way which is more painful than the physical aforementioned act, without raising my voice and without using profanity...

Ya know I'm not a very confrontational person, unless I need to be. I believe there are many ways to handle a situation and I try to do what is best.

Your plight is totally understood. No matter what one does you can not change anyone, even if they are hurting you on purpose, the more you are honest with them the more they want to hurt you, they will even bring in others to help them hurt you in the attempt to destroy all self worth you may have. Just remember it is there empty attempt to make them self feel self worth why else would they want some one hurting, friend it is even in the Church at this time, makes one wonder if the Church age is almost over? Pray.

i avoid confrontations because i'm not a fan... but i'm not afraid, too... so when there's no way around it, i say a little prayer and i go for it... yet i always keep my cool as it's the best weapon in such situations...! lol

yeah...i guess i do because, well - they're so darn confrontational. i can't handle the pressure of being blunt and upfront - it's just too much to fathom.

I don't have a problem with it. I say my peace, let the other person say theirs, and try to squash it. If it goes beyond that, (which I hope it doesn't) you have to do what you have to do.
