I have a lot of stuff I am talking to myself about. I am dealin with PTSD and bereavement right now. So I ask myself lots of questions and basically mentally beat myself up over all sorts of issues which are coming out in this illness. I think my is going explode from being overloaded with too much stuff going on.

:-)))

Normally when I'm in a supermarket and forgot what I went in to buy.

I'm learning Sign Language at the moment, and last week in Sainsburys I said to myself (in my head) " What did I come in here now for? I've forgotten!" But at the same time, signed the question to myself.
I had a laugh and a joke with my teacher about this (who is deaf) and she said that very often, she signs to herself. Weird huh!

I'm losing the plot well and truly now I guess!

I talk to my dogs about what I need to do, such as 'I'll peel the potatoes first, then put the washing on and after that........' Or discuss what to cook for dinner (shall I cook chicken or pork? ); what time I need to go out etc. Except that I am not really talking to my dogs, I'm talking to myself and often they are not even in he same room as me. I also answer myself. Obviously because the dogs cannot talk.

I usually only talk to myself when I am complaining about another person and how stupid, ignorant, and disgusting they are. It gets pretty profane most of the time.

Did this just yesterday, in fact. I called that woman every foul name in the book. Of course, no one was around to hear me. lol.

Mainly I talk myself through tasks but I have OCD and have had a course of CBT so I use the techniques I learned there to talk myself out of nasty thoughts.

I usually talk to myself about my husband, trying to figure out what he is doing or saying. He is so confusing.
