they just really are not in to you? if they truly think thats the way you need to act for a fling - they should just come right out and say it. we either accept that or move on - then the next morning there is no recapping becuase the official intent is clear..
Im currently going through this right now....

Most likely they do believe those things. But just because someone likes you doesn't mean they are willing to go the next level in a relationship. I like plenty of women - and some of them quite a lot. They're fantastic and smart and some of them are quite beautiful too. But I have no desire for a relationship, and that is no reflection on them, so it shouldn't be a reflection on you either.

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. No this hasn't happened to me, or at least any time that I can remember but I know people who this has happened to. The guy acts like he's all into you and telling you all these sweet and wonderful things when in reality he really doesn't have to. Especially when the girl already knows "what's up". I personally feel it's a guy thing and it's something that they feel they need to do to get further with a girl, even if she's just a fling. I would cut to the chase and tell the guy "we both know what this is that we're doing so let's cut the b.s. and just accept it for what it is." I think he'll get the hint. It's just sickening when guys/girls do this. Almost insulting.

If someone came up to you and said: "Hey, you're cute. Do you wanna go back to my place a screw around? Just don't stick around in the morning okay, I'm just looking to score." Would you really consider a offer like that? Basically they play these games because very very few people would actually take them up on that offer. So instead looking for those few blatantly promiscuous people, they play the emotions of anyone they can to get what they want. It's not right, but that's the reality of it.

These people are selfish and really aren't concerned with hurting your feelings. So why would they be honest if it won't help them get what they want? Jerks they are, but there is a method to their madness.

learn to take a compliment.. if it 's just a fling it really shouldn't matter too much if they're really into you or not. life is short, make the most of it and have fun! so what if there is a little role playing involved.. that's all part of the game. you might actually enjoy yourself if you relax and just go with the flow.

Why don't you make a vow to yourself not to sleep with anyone until you are in a relationship with that person.
People don't realize how much we give up emotionally when we have casual sex. Make sure it is understood that you two are boyfriend and girlfriend next time you sleep with someone.

Well I don't do that. I only hang with the people I enjoy being around. So there is no need to pretend with them.

Because they have no spine to confront the real nature of what they are doing, and it has gotten them laid in the past.

Simplest, yet best answer out there, sugar.

An easy way to avoid that situation is not sleep with people you don't really know.
