Your HCG level is meant to keep climbing in the first 12 weeks or so in your pregnancy. A non-pregnant person have a HCG level of less than 5. Early pregnancy tests give +ve results when HCG is as low as 25 - 50. He doesn't want to see you because with a HCG level of 1702, you are DEFINITELY pregnant, and as your levels are increasing, it suggests your pregnancy is well established and will continue as normal. If you do another pregnancy test, it will 100% show positive with HCG levels of 1700+. The next three weeks will fly by. Perhaps you can get an early scan at 7-8 weeks which will show the baby's heart beating and put your mind at rest. Congratulations on your pregnancy! See link below for normal HCG values and you will see yours is perfect for 4-5 weeks pregnant!

Congrats on your pregnancy! I'm not trying to scare you, but I suffered a late miscarriage at 20 weeks in December, and my doctor told me to wait at least 2 cycles before becoming pregnant again, or there was a good chance my next pregnancy could result in miscarriage as well. I did get pregnant after my second period in a row, and I'm happy to say I'm now 22 weeks and doing well.
If your hcg levels are elevated, I wouldn't be too worried. You sound like you're doing well, but just be prepared, your first trimester is the scariest, and your chance of miscarriage significantly drops after the first 3 months. If your doctor was more concerned, I'm sure he/she would have had you come in again sooner!

That's so wonderful you are pregnant again - congratulations! And I'm really sorry you lost your other little one.
The fact that it your homone levels have tripled is an excellent sign that you will have a healthy and viable pregnancy this time. Weeks 5-8 are very important because that's when the all of the baby's major organs are forming. This explains why your HcG levels jumped.
I know it's hard to wait 3 weeks - it seems like an eternity. I'm 6 weeks pregnant myself and I can't wait to get to at least week 10 because I'll feel so much more secure then!
I will say a prayer for you and baby. Say one for me, too?

I think you should be thrilled that your hcg level has jumped. That means that your hormones are doing what they should be doing, increasing to help the embryo grow into a fetus. I had a miscarriage back in April too. If your hcg was dropping (like when you miscarry), then you should to take another blood test. Go to Web MD to follow the development of an embryo to fetus, A lot happens in the first 8 weeks. I wish you the best.

if u start bleeding or anything wierd happens b4 3 weeks then you need to call ur OB, but if doc says that everything is fine then i think everything will be fine.
Most people that have miscarriages and end up pregnant again tend to carry their child successfully.
I had a miscarriage at the end of June and the next month i didnt recieve my period so i ended up pregnant again. My doc look at my hcg levels and everything and said that he thinks this pregnancy is going to be a succcessful one.

i'm sorry for your loss but CONGRATS on your new baby! yes the numbers are great! they should've been double and they were higher than that.
i had 2 miscarriages back to back then conceived just 2 weeks after the 2nd. my hcg numbers were good and our first son was born a week before his due date. i know it's hard to not worry and stress. i wasn't sure i'd carry him to term until i was in the 2nd trimester. if the doc's not worried, don't you be either.
congrats again and best wishes!

Do twins run in your family? Maybe you should look into that? Go to webmd.com and see what HcG levels measure. Maybe that will help. Don't freak out because that will only stress you and the baby or babies..lol..good luck!

No matter how many blood tests you get there will still be the chance of m/c. I'm sorry for your previous loss but good luck on this one.

your pregnancy should be pretty good because theose numbers jumped pretty good. If it makes you feel better and less stress, then i would request another blood test just for piece of mind.
