Quarantine locks away the virus
Delete.. well it kills it

quarantining a virus is not bad. all you did was disable it, insted of deleting it,

anti-virus programs can sometime add thing that are not actually
viruses to the list as a mistake, things that like COOKIES. cookies are not bad for your computer and do no harm to it but some could be used to track your internet actions so it deletes them. Quarantine disables those thing so you can decide later if you want them deleted or not.

you did nothing wrong your computer is safe

If McAfee was smart enough to offer Quarantine/Delete instead of Disinfect then it must realized this is a Trojan not virus and quarantine is as good a course of action to delete.

Trojan is very limited as to its function so not to worry, it is as good as gone.

Quarantine is fine. you can open quarantine file in the program and delete it.
FYI. Sometimes you get a virus that doesn't delete. In that case you'll have to quarantine it . and delete at a later date, usually after re-booting

You are in good shape, as long as you don't have any other viruses on your computer. Quarantining a virus renders it powerless against your computer. So don't worry about the viruses in your quarantine.

Quarantine is not a bad thing - you are okay there. You can always go back and delete the viruses if you feel it necessary.
