I keep getting a message when i try to run the upgrade saying "running on a unsupported version"

If it's so old you have A06, it won't support A32.
The main rule of BIOS upgrading is to never, never do it unless you have to. You run a real risk of hosing the motherboard in a way that you can't recover from.

For the most part BIOs are unique for the model of computer you have - it's not like changing OSes. Why are you trying to do that changing a BIOs would accomplish? It doesn't result in any benefits that I can think of. "Unsupported" is another way of saying you've stepped into the Twilight Zone of computing, especially if it's under warrenty - as in it won't work with the OS you have.
