You should be scared of people...not ghosts.

Why are you afraid of seeing a ghost in your house? Does your house have a reputation for being haunted? Have you seen ghosts in your house before? Has anyone else?

Most houses are not haunted. Chances are that if you or anyone else haven't ever seen one in your house, then it probably isn't haunted.

If it's a new house and you/your family are the first ones to live there, it's probably not haunted. Unless it's built over a cemetery, or on a site of another house that was haunted, anyway.

I think there are ghosts that come in different varieties from peaceful to mischievous to downright mean. Some ghosts stay put and some follow people, for whatever reason.

But I also think there's a difference between ghosts and demons. I think both are real.

If you are afraid of ghosts and demons, you could try a little psychology on yourself and on them, I suppose. Try sprinkling a fine line of purified salt across the threshhold to your room. That should prevent anything mean from coming into your room.

Sleep with a night light on and your door closed so you can't see outside of your room and it's less likely you'll hear noises from other areas of the house.

Finally, and this will work only if you're a Christian and you're dealing with demon spirits, you can remember that every evil spirit is subject to obey when you invoke the name of the Lord. So you can say something like, "In the name of Jesus Christ, I command you to leave." From personal experience, I know this works. But you must believe, which is the key ingredient. If you don't want them coming back, you might try telling them where to go, e.g., "In the name of Jesus Christ, I command you to leave and go to the Sahara Desert." Or something like that.

Good luck!

first of all you've got to understand there are no such things, but even if there were, the dead can't harm you.
When i was young i was terrified of ghosts, i mean terrified.
Everyone told me there was no such thing, but it didn't help.
I thought i would be like that all my life.
In reality, i was so afraid at night that my senses were more acute, so every little noise freaked me out.
One night i had enough. When i heard creaks etc and was convinced there was something there, i changed my fear into anger. I jumped out of bed (light was off) and as i walked to the light switch i was shouting something like 'how dare you disturb me when i am trying to sleep. I turned on the light and insisted the ghost show itself now or get out of my house.
I lost my fear instantly! Now, i would LOVE to see a ghost!

Why are you afraid of ghosts? They really can't harm you unless you allow it to happen. Besides, they were once corporeal. Hollywood has made them scary to people when they are often actually nice, or they totally ignore you. I have felt the presence of ghosts before, but they have usually left me alone. Sometimes I feel the sadness from them because of something that has made them sad. You should never be afraid of them. I even felt my dad's spirit and I wish I still could, but I believe he only stayed long enough to say goodbye.

Have you ever read a headline in the news ' Young woman killed by shadow or ghost in her Room at night' no you havent. If a ghost or spirit is bothering you at night just yell "Leave Now" or GO! and they will I promise. Or it very well could be someone you know who has crossed over wants to give you love and say hello..Is that so scary?

I don't know if you're a Christian, but it sounds as though you are being attacked by something evil. The Bible says those who belong to God (through Jesus) have authority over evil spirits. While many people do not think so, the Bible is relevant today. If you aren't familiar, i would suggest you read the Gospel of John in the New Testament, and come to know God, and the future He has planned for you. God bless.

Its just a ghost. It won't hurt you, usually. Ghosts are real and if you want to be less afraid get a pet like a cat or a dog. Animals can sense ghosts better than we can.

yes there is, and it is don't worry, they simply won't appear if your frightened. most ghosts i see give you a feeling of peace so you just can't feel fear.

I'm trained to see ghosts and even at that it's hard. i find it's very rare for them to just pop out and only happen if you've done something or always if your gifted with the ability, the gift i have is i can see them as energy the appear in there aura.

you have no need to be frightened your stronger than them this is our world not there's. if you believe your better than them they have no control over you. i always keep this in mind.

Little advice sweety...you needn't be. There are far more scary things in the world IE..being blown to pieces than seeing shadowy figures at night. Word of advice..ignore it as much as possible and sleep with a rosary. Trust me sugga.

If you believe in God, then its always better to say a small prayer to him/ her to bolster your confidence. If that doesn't work for you, then I would suggest that you carry a small flash light or even your cell phone to light a path. Also to decrease trips in the middle of the night, you should probably keep a bottle of water or milk or a small snack next to your bed. Trips to the bathroom can be avoided if you take care of "things" before you go to bed.
Hope that helps
