you can try to add it in but it probably won't be accepted, but you can put it into forbearance or deferment until you can pay. You can put it in for up to 12 months at a time and when that 12 months is up you just reapply until you can start repaying or you can set something up to make smaller payments they usually are okay with that. If you have Sallie Mae GOOD LUCK getting anywhere you might as well just pay it off by some other means!

no anything that has to do with the federal or state and city governments still need to be paid. they are not erased.
