The starter button is very simple in those machines.

It's also very delicate.

With the Button Being mounted in the Throttle Housing,,it makes that button sort of vulnerable to damage any time Throttle is disassembled.

All it is ,is a basically a "Doorbell Switch".
Push it and it makes contact,,,and it's spring loaded to release itself when you quit pushing it.

I seriously doubt anywhere has a drawing or Photo of the switch.

Another Switch which is Electrically IN-LINE with the PushButton ,,is the lil' Kill Switch toggle lever up on top of the throttle housing.

It must be Functional & switched ON or starter wont work from the Pushbutton.

The Few Bits & which make up those 2 switches are sort of Clamped,or Anchored in the Throttle Housing Halves,,by some tiny retainer plates held by tiny screws.

So they cannot actually "fly apart" by taking throttle apart.

If you did happen to take those lil' retainer screws out,,,and the switch parts came adrift,,,Good Luck with that.
Nobody sells "Repair Parts" for those,,,,Only the entire Throttle Housing & Switch Assembly.

It takes a very competent & experienced person to fabricate Parts to repair those switchs.
MOST bike technicians wont do it,,because it simply does not Pay.
New Switch is cheaper than their labour time to Fix a switch,,let alone start Fabricating parts which are missing.

Because the wiring harness is pulled so tight in the handlebars and requires substantial force to get some wiring Slack to get the Throttle apart,,,,,

....What far more commonly happens during throttle work is that the Wire going to the switch gets Broken where it's soldered onto the switch's terminal.

It "Shouldn't Happen",,,but it does somehow.

Either That,or the OTHER end of the wire gets pulled loose from its connector in the headlight.

I am NOT 100%,,,but I THINK the Starter Button May be Sky Blue with a Red Stripe.

The Kill Switch wire,,,,I cannot recall whatsoever.
Any 70's or 80's Honda Wiring Diagram for a electric start bike will have Same Color Code(98% Certain)...Honda's very consistent in such matters.

You can Try 2 Things:
1) Open up the Throttle again and Look at the Wire going to each of the 2 Switches.
_a)Starter button in Bottom Half
_b)Kill Switch in Upper Half
Note if they are still actually soldered,,,or have broken off.

IF broken,,they'll need Re-Soldering

2) If they appear to be Connected to their Switch Terminal OK,,,Note the Colour of each.

Then go into HeadLight Shell and verify they are still actually Connected in there.

It'll look like a rat's nest nightmare of wires in the headlight,,,,but everything is Color Coded.

If you cant find a fault at either of the 2 switches,,,or an unplugged wire in Headlight,,,,
Get some help from someone familiar with Bike electrical systems,,or take it to a shop.

It's NOT uncommon to "cause" probs with the switches while working on Throttle.
That's the most likely source.

If it will Crank when you push the Starter Button,,
The "Prime Suspect" is the Kill Switch.

Early Hondas would Crank but not Start,,
Later Honda revised the wiring to Full Dead with Kill Switch OFF.
No Crank,No Start,No Nothing.
(I THINK,,,I cant recall that far back exactly)
...................................................
One Other Possibility,,,and a pretty decent one,,,,
If you removed Tank to get Old Cable Off,,,
You MIGHT have Unplugged the wire harness to the Ignition Coils.
THAT's easy to do,,,,all the wires and cables seem to be tied in a knot under there.

If Starter Does work,,,and Pushbuton Cranks it-----
Remove a Spark Plug and check for fire/Spark.

If there's No Spark,,it's worth pulling the tank to look at the wiring connections to the Spark Coils.

I've seen them pulled loose Many Times over the years,,,
Especially after trying to Pull a Throttle cable out without removing tank & all the cable ties, etc.

You Shouldn't have any Major Disaster at hand,,,
It's most likely just a wire pulled loose somewhere.

Good Luck with it

Refine your question.
I'm not good at Jumble word games.
Check for spark.
When you removed the handlebar switch, you may have damaged the kill switch.
