The thing is, do you think it was him? If you do, and that brings you comfort then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, does it? It's a great big, wide, mysterious universe and ANYTHING could be true. Quite exciting if you think about it.

It could have been him, or it may have been a guardian of his or yours, who wished to comfort you as this loss happened. It would depend on both your beliefs and his, as the beliefs you have in life can effect the actions you take in the spiritual world. If you and he are open to these kinds of experiences he may very well have wanted to say good bye, knowing it would not frighten you.

What a wonderful tender experience!
It doesn't matter whether the experience was 'real' or a dream. It was a manifestation of your relationship with this loved-one who still obviously lives through your affection for him and your memories of him.

I have to be honest and say that I don't believe in the supernatural. Having said that, it goes without saying I'm sorry to hear about your nephew.

Do you live with someone? Could they have been touching your face? Plus, would your dead nephew visit you? Or his parents or siblings...

No it was not your nephew. The Bible tell us in: Eccl. 9:5,6: "As for the dead, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun."
Ps. 146:3,4: "His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish."
