When I became invisible, ignored or sneered at.
The great thing is, they will be old, too.

I started going grey at 16. But then I found a grey hair down there, and realised I wasn't so young anymore!
Since then I have had grey hairs sprouting in abundance, and I feel bloody old! (Mind you, I look good for 98!)

Lately, everyday - the mind is set but the rest takes a little longer. Grey hair. Tired speech. Stress level thresholds are higher, constant changes in a daily life routine in order to get by. Not fitting in. Tiredness. Loneliness. I could go on...

When I saw an emo kid from the back and actually said out loud to my boyfriend- I can't tell if that's a guy or a girl! I was horrified to find that I was channeling my 90 year old Nana and I'm only 33!

On a recent trip to an amusement park! I rode this ride that you sit in a chair with your feet dangling and it's just like a rollercoaster. I thought I would NEVER make it off the ride alive!!
(guess that crap happens once you turn 50 huh? LOL)

My sister is turning 21 in April
What is up with that?!
When did she catch up with me?!
Okay, to be fair, we're only 14 months and 9 days apart . . . or, if you prefer, 1 year, 2 months, 1 week, and 2 days . . .
But she will always be my "little" sister . . . no matter how old she gets. It just caught me by surprise when I realized that she's coming up on 21.

I'm 30 and about 6 months ago when I said to my 7 yr old step son who wouldn't eat his dinner "You know there are children in the world who are starving and have nothing to eat".
Immediately I thought to myself, OMG I sound exactly like my father! It was a very scary experience.

When I went to the local amusement park Thursday and some girl started to talk to me who looked about 16. She later asked me how old I was, turns out I was older than her. Then she started to ask annoying questions.

When I did a series of roundoffs and cartwheels with my little cousins the other day.... I did 'em... I was just very sore afterwards... I haven't flipped like that since high school- 10 years ago.

I'm still working on that. I keep reminding myself (usually when I try to stand up and it don't work) that I'm old and a crip. Until 5 years ago, I could dance all night. Now I can't even SLEEP all night. Old age stinks.
