It is presently in the Philadelphia Museum. It and the Egyptian treasures are touring the U.S. If you can afford the prices charged by the Egyptian government, you might go and see.

It's part of ancient Egyptian funerary traditions;the death mask shows the young king in the guise of the God Osiris,an important personage in Egyptian mythology,a god of life,death and immortality. Putting the pharaoh in the guise of this god is part of the ceremony that leads the dead king into the afterlife.
