I had a big problem with that. It took a few months, but Juicy Fruit chewing gum solved it for me. Just unwrap it and stick it into active tunnels in several places. You can imagine what happens after they eat enough of it. I don't know what it is about Juicy Fruit, but it apparently is their brand of choice. I tried smoke bombs and those cylinders with batteries that are supposed to create an annoying vibration in the ground, but that only moved them around. Nothing else worked but the gum. I also didn't replace the hostas they seemed to be feeding on. It's been several years now and they haven't been back. Coincidence? I don't think so.

There are Mole Stakes. These are round battery powered stakes that put off a vibration into the ground every few seconds. By placing about ten of these around your yard it should scare them off. There is also Gopher Purge. It's a plant that grows like a weed all over but it drives gophers and moles away. I think they don't like the smell or taste. It's also easy to get rid of afterwards. Just pull it all up.

Juicy Fruit gum cut in strips with the inside wrapper still on. Place in the tunnel. They are attracted by the paper. When they eat the gum it gets rid of them.

I had a lot of moles and I did the gum and I don't have any now/

unfortunately getting rid of moles is almost impossible due to the fact that there main diet consists of earth worms and not grubs as most people suspect. To get rid of moles you have to eliminate their food source. Unfortunately to eliminate earthworms, you rob your soil of nutrients and airation that the worms provide. I'm sure you can find some unsavory commercial products that will cure your problem, it just depends on how environmentally careful you want to be. Good luck.

I tried everything. I finally got a scottish terrier and what he didn't eat ran away within two weeks. There are many different types of terrier breeds and even a mixed breed terrior will go to ground for vermin. That's wht they were bred for. The eat birds too though and need space to run or they will chew up you house.

Mole infestation is a sign that you have grubs in your yard, because that's what they eat. Go to Lowe's and buy something to kill the grubs and the moles will leave.
