My dog has taken a liking to peeing in one area of the back yard by the door. Since I discovered this, I have stopped her from going there. However now I notice that there is a sour smell of dog pee in that area especially on hot humid days. Does anyone have a simple solution that I can make and spray in that area to get rid of the smell?

Try baking soda and water. Even plain water is better than nothing to keep the pee sprayed away.

We have the same problem with our 3 dogs. Spraying down the area with water did not remove the smell for long, and on the really hot days, not at all. All I have found is a product simply called "Yard Odor Killer." The bottle connects to a garden hose. The only place I know to get it is at PetSmart Online.

use a hose and lots of water and spray the heck out of the area. you could also use one of those spray bottles with vinegar in and spray the are well, after you have used the water. then put some charcoal bricks in that area it will absorb the smell.

A few days of good watering should get rid of the problem. If the smell continues that means that your dog is still piddling there.
