I work as a Healthcare assistant at my local hospital. I have known an old lady for quite some time. she has been in hospital for about 6 months. We were quite close and last Tuesday she told me that she wouldn't be here for much longer. She thanked me for everything I had done and told me she would keep in touch.I thought she meant she was going home. Well yesterday I went to work and one of the doctors told me she had died. I was freaked out that she knew she was dying and also upset that she had gone. She left me a note saying she would contact me if she could through a medium and look after me. She was a big believer in this as I am. I am booked to see Colin Fry soon and am scared now. I feel spooked by the whole thing and couldn't sleep last night. Please help.

If you're apprehensive, cancel the meeting. It is not unusual for people to know they are dying, she was in hospital for six months, so her prognosis could not have been very positive. You may be in shock for quite some time, but do not worry, it is natural as you have come to know this woman and become her friend. Just give yourself time to accept the loss and go on with your life as you normally would.

Death is a natural part of life. If the lady was spiritually aware (as I am and a medium) she would perhaps have been so intune with her guides and loved ones who had previously passed who may have veisited her, giving her the sense that she was going to pass on.
We shed our physical bodies upon death so that our spirit can learn lessons from our incarnation this time around.
There is nothing to say she will make her self known when you see Colin Fry, after death it can take several years before an individual can communicate.
I see you having a chance meeting with a Medium in the future when I feel this lady will make her presence known.
For now I suggest you contact your local spiritualist church who will offer guidance over this. Perhaps consider a basic awareness course which will give you the basics of all aspects of this subject. When you have some knowledge under your belt the fear and apprehension will pass.
Everything happens in for a reason in life and perhaps this is your cue to open up your spiritual awareness and gain better understanding.
You never know you may be able to help others in the future!

For now continue your life and dont dwell on what cannot be changed.

In love and light, may the angels walk graciously at your side always xxxxxxxxxx

I believe you, and am sure the lady knew she was going to die. You should be happy that she was thankful to you for helping her. Please don't be spooked. Many of your family / friends who have died are watching over you, and now you have an extra one too! The lady did not want to scare you at all - you are scared because you have been brought up watching films / tv where ghosts return to earth and do horrible things to people. Most of these are not real, and those that are require you to do something to make the bad things happen (e.g. tamper with a ouija board etc). So please, let your troubled mind rest, go outside, look up into the night sky and when you see a bright star up there, that is the lady looking out for you!

You make me laugh! For goodness sake.....what IS the difference if she did? In what way would this be harmful to you? In what way was she likely to harm you in life? If she is able to do you think she will harm you in death? If her spirit lives on and she makes contacts and looks after you surely you should be happy at the thought of a 'guardian angel'??

I know there is something beyond this life and too may experiences of being contacted myself to disbelieve the fact that the souls energy somehow manages to survive and NONE of the experiences have been evil. Evil exists only if you believe in it!!

Relax..you are more likely to be nervous of being on the colin fry show not the fact it is her...but you are probably spooked by the fact you knew someone who you got close to and who died....it does impact you!!!

Don't be afraid... this lady is a good soul... you are fortunate to be seeing Colin Fry... don't tell him anything about it... if she can connect... she has the best of all Mediums to work through... and if you are interested in the paranormal... relax... don't delve... don't try to make things happen... because your own mind will take precedence and prevent proper channelling of information... stay calm and wait for Colin... lucky you... a lovely old soul has chosen to work with you... what a gift of love that is... the only thing to fear... is fear itself!

Over come your fear and the rest will fall into place without any manipulation on your part.

God bless

Natural lifelong Medium age 62.

I personally don't believe in this sort of thing, so I'm not an expert, but I'd just advise you to keep calm. If you do make contact through a medium, that's fantastic, but if you don't, then try not to be disappointed and move on with your life. There's nothing to be scared of, although it may be spooky, if she was nice before she died she should still be. Go to see the medium with an open mind. Good luck!

I am sorry you are having a scary time. Please do not.

I wonder though, if you are a big believer, and go out of your way to be involved, why you would be scared about something you are familiar with?

Is there something else that you may not have mentioned? The dear lady was obviously very fond of you and she was promising to take care of you. What a blessing!

As for knowing when she would die, many cultures seem to know, past generations of the Innuit for example, though the majority of people have lost the connectedness that makes them open to many truths.

Do not worry. All is well.

If you believe in it, then why are you scared?
By the way, many people know that they will die soon. It is normal. She was a nice lady, she won't hurt you. I don't even believe she will be able to contact you. And if you go to that Colin Fry, it means you do want contact with her, if not, you wouldn't go. Then it would be imposible for her to contact you.

Rest assured there is nothing wrong with feeling anxiety about this, as death is the great unknown, but it seems to be common for some people to have a sense of when they are going to pass on, and when they have lived a full and rewarding life, they accept it without fear. It sound to me like your friend was one of these. A beautiful soul who had nothing to fear in death, other than leaving behind those she cared about. If she is thinking of you and the promise she made to you, she would not want you fearing the experience. She would be looking forward to this last chance for a bitter sweet good bye, and would probably want you to feel reasured by it.

This lady believed in the Afterlife.
Take it as a compliment that she wanted to look out for you.
So what if she does manage to contact you. You wasn't scared of her in life, so why should you be scared of her in death.
You will see a lot of deaths in your chosen profession.
I don't think it is a good idea to go to see Colin Fry.
Just concentrate on giving sick people your care in their life here.
Is there anyone senior at work you could talk to?

xx
