It is so difficult to answer this question because I am a part of the society, how do I tear myself apart ? But, no, if it comes to things I want to do, thiings I feel about, and society disagrees, honestly, i do not care at all. Because when I die, I die alone, and when I love, and the pple I love are with me, why would society matter. From simple things like dressiing, social behaviour, every little things that society can rant about..why would I care....first comes not individual, first comes my family..and then the society..who cares what pple think, luv ??

Both are important. Without individuals there would be no society. So, each individual makes up the society, so both are important. Each individuals choices makes up the choices of the society in general. Although there will be some deviances.

The answer lies within the question.
If one is truly in touch with their individual self, and values it enough, the society around them is merely static.
This question is highly subjective: it depends upon the person, like asking whether Coke is better than Pepsi (which incidentally, I believe is true :)

Because in the benefit of society lies the benefit of more people..

it is simple your self. how can you help others if your a mess and need hep your self? life won't be long and you won't make an impact.
factually you won't be of any inspiration or motivation if you are a mess or have nothing good about you. so it is my opinion to look after the self then add your best to your society.

First of all you must survive in the world around you, or if you must die for the world around you, it must be for a worthy cause. The answer is in love. What do you love? In a final way, what do you love? What seizes your imagination will determine what you do when you get up in the morning until you go to bed.
