Playing by "Ear'' I am always thinking of the melody, and Where To Go..... If it is a very well-known Piece That I am Familiar with, then I Just Enjoy Playing and "thanking God" For The Talent He Gave Me. And
I surely Love Music. I Love to Play, and I Love to Listen., To Good Anointed Gospel Music.

It depends what I'm playing and whether I'm focused, practicing or playing for enjoyment. If I'm playing a recital, or something where I really need to pay attention then I'll be concentrating on difficult passages, fingering, tone, pedalling - I won't be concentrating on the notes because by that time I'll be thinking in sections rather than individual notes. When I'm practicing then I'll be thinking much more about what note is next and the fingering for it because it is necesary in order to learn the piece. When I'm playing for fun I'll drift off and not necesarily pay too much attention to what I'm playing.

I play the piano and stuff. But once you're really into the song, you just focus. You don't necessarily think about the next note because your fingers are already on the key.

i never think about the next note to be honest, when i was learning and starting out i had to because i could not remember, now i just relax and listen to the sound, i tend to drift away and think about what the music reminds me of, alot of songs compiled by our band are love ish but in a rock sense so it reminds me a past experiences....its powerful....i play lead guitar for a band just doing it for fun.

when i play my flute i always think on my tone quality. and on the length of the notes i'm playing.
but most importantly the rythyms; i always make sure i'm playing them correctly to the full extent.
