She is not a parent with much maternal instinct.
I can't get rid of the feeling that they only had kids because they thought that they had to or that people expect a couple to want kids. I find it strange that even after all that has happened she doesn't want to spend any time with her remaining kids but just wants to fob them off on everyone else. Those kids should be at home in UK getting back to their normal routine by now.

Myabe because health and safety say they have to have one adult per child and Gerry didn't feel like a swim?
Or maybe the children were having an afternoon nap, and Kate went for some exercise?
Maybe Kate exercises to get rid of her stress. Some people are addicted to exercise.
Really, who knows?
If your friend works there, get her to ask the questions. She's in a much better position to ask questions than the rest of the people on here, who have no idea.

I dont think her appearance at this complex is unusual. What is usual is that it may give here some comfort being their. The whole episode has turned into a Circus and soon the mystery will unfold. We all have our own personal views but really is better to keep them to ourselves dont you think.Crimes of this nature are solved using past histories and statistics, you may gleen what you will from that.

Really - she went on her own to use the resort's pool? How strange. I read that they had moved to a villa away from Ocean Club because of the press hanging around Ocean Club. So why go there to use the pool when she's got the whole ocean at her disposal, and presumably a pool at the villa they are staying at (which has been loaned to them by somebody)?
If this is true, I can only think she cannot cope with being around her children. She can't take them to the creche any more because the paying guests of Ocean Club have complained. Her relatives have all gone home. So it is up to her to look after her own children, and - let's face it - she's not used to it! She always has had full-time childcare before.
This is not to say that she is a horrible person. Some people simply cannot tolerate being around children for extended periods - they don't have the patience/temperament for it. Some other people say that if you can't stand being around children, then you shouldn't have them - but who am I to tell somebody else whether to reproduce or not?

If it was me, those kids would not be allowed out of my sight. Then again, if it was me, this situation would not have arisen as i wouldn't have left my 3 kids alone in the first place.

Who really understands anything these parents do. I do know that if it was me I would not be swimming or running as I would not be capable of anything.

I still wonder why they remain in Portugal living off other people eg. either free accomodation or the fund, are they enjoying this? and again the police find new evidence and they generate more publicity for themselves!
I'm not saying I think they are guilty, none of us know how we'd react in their situation.
