I am not sure if any state has intelligence analysts. That is more of a job for the national security agencies like CIA, FBI, Homeland Security, and the Military. History could be a good major but many schools also have majors like comparative politics, foreign affairs, or even national security that could be better
And as noted above its probably imperative that you also have some background in a foreign language and with the way the world is going now the languages to look at are Arabic, Farsi or Russian..

I don't know about a major being the best choice, but I would think that a minor in middle eastern history would only be a plus.

never! Be a lawyer or an accountant. get your High School education at Groton Academy, BA from Yale, and LLD from Harvard or your MBA from Penn State.

Forget about history or sociology or cultural geology or linguistics. It's all about going to the right schools

It's okay, but a major in Political Science and a minor in languages is probably your best bet.

Yes actually you would need to study science, math, history, and different languages.
