What is a social implication?

I came across this word in an assignment and i am wondering what it is so i can answer the question correctly.

All actions have reactions. In this case, you say or do something in a social situation, the reactions will affect your socially. For example, you tell your friend to "shut up", the social implication for you may be that this person no longer remains your friend, and may even convince others to stop being your friend as well.
