The correct answer should have been "None of your damn business".

No. I think Bill should simply have said, yes I had sex with that woman and that's the end of it.

In the end the only crime was perjury. Clinton should simply have been brutally honest and let the truth knock Ken Starr right on the noggin.

Yeah, that would have definitely given him a lot more leeway. Because as we all probably know, what Bill said was a very general statement that he didn't have any kind of inappropriate relation with Monica. But if he said what you said then he could say that it wasn't exactly intercourse or something.

I do not recall is the same as I do not remember but you have to be honest about it. Personally I recommend pleading the fifth- you cannot get in trouble for that.

That would still have been perjury if untrue -- just harder to prove.

But Clinton was acquitted, while Gonzales is just started to face the heat from his actions....

As if the flavor of the lie would make it any better?

I'd have respected the sonuvabitch if he'd just said "Hey, it's none of your damn business" and left it at that.

But since it is his nature to lie even about things that don't matter I guess we'll never know.

Apparently that only works for people that are approved by the republican house and senate.
They have to give you the nod.
