Bought a new 2003, 155hp, has always used excessive oil, finally blew connecting rod, dealer says full of corrosion, trys to blame me, even though regularly serviced. Seadoo Refuses to help. Seadoosucks.com describes same problem. Other folks?

go on the net and look at all seadoo listings and there are some shops that can do you a re-built motor and or an exchange ... keep looking and you will find a replacement engine --- sorry 'bout the factory lousy warranty ... using the seadupe in the salt water is real tricky and it is just too bad they do not have a salt-water set-up to cool the engine and reduce the amount of corrosion build up inside the motor ... I'm guessin' that the 155hp is a single engine and you will find another ----- keep lookin'& good luck .... the seadoo I had was a twin engine and I bought it for % on the $$'s redid the seats and dumped it .... the 2003 is a good eye-catcher and I hope that you can find another power plant and get happy again...

First of all, Seadoo isn't all that reliable. Second, if there's corrosion inside the engine, it means you sucked in water at some point or at least a lot of moisture got inside, which means the dealer is right to refuse warranty work. That's not a defect - that's misuse and lack of maintenance.

Try seadoosource.com but be carefull stay away from new 4 strokes there very complicated.
