We have an indoor showroom and I would like the date to be September 15. I want to cook out and give away prizes but I want to ensure foot traffic and sales.

Mail coupons to existing customers offering a referal fee from having friends buy from you. Or offer something to the friend instead like if you are refered from a customer and by you will get a free RV awning over the door or upgraded cabinet doors. Then they will want to invite peope that are interested in buying an RV not just in free food and a balloon. Offer all buyers a free one night stay at a local RV park so they can test it out before the vacations start. Give all children between 4-15 a free flashlight with your name on it. Kids love flashlights, they are cheap and they can think about camping and playing with it outdoors. You can get your name printed on the flashlights so you have advertizing in the hands of people in RV parks. Also little torpedo levels maybe the glue on kind you can put on you RV to see if you are parked level. If you could have your company ad on a door mat they would make nice gifts, fake grass doormats so you can get mud off and roll them up to take along.

Here are some ideas:
Drawing for RV things like travel directories or GPS
Photo contest
Local entertainment
Take pictures with celebrities (the fake standup poster boards) That will bring people back to get the pictures.
Have a Paris Hilton look alike contest.
Good luck.

Advertise in the local paper and if possible some radio spots and give away some door prizes along with some special savings deal offers. And have free food available.

You could try renting a Mickey Mouse costume (or any popular children's figure) to stand outside and wave to traffic and hand out flyers.

You could also offer a cash drawing or hire a local radio station to come by.

Free pop up rental for 3 days/2 nights.......

This being the prize....for?

hot dog eating
Guess how long the log on fire will keep the pot @ 180 degrees....

Put a log on two Y-forks...guess how long it will take before the fire burns through it and the pieces drop...

All these contests would work with a "campsite" set up in the parking lot.

Set up a camper....Awning, food....campfire....have the guys @ work dress up as fishermen...hunters....out for a weekend...

Depending on how many women...have them dress up....maybe bring in someone's kids on the weekend with a kiddie pool....

Get some camper magnets.....camper matches...with advertising on them.....

Even better....find a culvert maker in your area....who has a pile of cut offs, or is willing to make a pile for ya.....buy a camper, get a fire ring....culvert ends make good fire rings...they last forever. Get some one to paint fireproof paint on with advertising...or get someone to cut the name in the ring.
