I don't understand why anyone would give up after 80 years. Its more than enough time to go through so many ups and downs and come out better & stronger for it. I know you hear of these stories and it makes me really sad! But I am a hopeless romantic.

ive heard that old couples divorce when they hit this age cos as a married couple u get a joint pension which isnt much...whereas they divorce but still live together and get two separate pensions which then works out better for them. today there are so many expenditures that financially it works out better for them and for some its the only option in order to make ends meet finacially
