My boyfriends ex wife kept his last name past the divorce, 3 yrs ago, no children. she has no right to keep his name and she has used it to obtain his new UNLISTED phone number. can he legally take her to court to have her go back to her maiden name thanks.

Nope, he cannot force her to change her name in court but he can add a security feature to the phone company to prevent account access or pay the $5 a month for a completely unlisted number........
If that doesn't work, consider changing your name as a couple....In WA, it is done on only one petition.....

He cannot force her to change her last name. However, he can file a complaint with the police and with the phone company for her impersonating a relative to gain access to his confidential information (including an unlisted phone number).

I don't think so. Well, to be truthful- you can always sue somebody, but I don't think there's a legal 'leg to stand on'... maybe if she was doing something wrong or whatever..
I don't get how she got his number though. I'd talk to the phone company about that.

Nope, she has the right to retain her married name if she chooses. You need to grow up and grow out of being a jealous twit.

No he can't. By best friend still has her ex husbands last name because it costs too much money to change it.

Legally, you have no right to butt into his business with this. let him take care of it.
