I have an unlocked quad band GSM phone and pay monthly for AT&T Wireless. I'll be travelling in the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Italy, and Germany for several weeks soon. Am I better off using AT&T's $.99/minute World Traveler international roaming in those countries, or is there a pre-paid SIM option that would be cheaper? I'd be particularly interested in a prepaid SIM that allowed me unlimited data in those countries (EDGE).

Most prepaid cards that I have seen in Europe do not support internet use, or if they do, only limited.
And all cards are for one country only.
I think you might find your $ 0.99 cheaper than the prepaid SIM cards.
But check that is it that price, with no extra charges like a starting charge of several dollars for each use.
And be aware that it will be $ 60 per hour.
Most internet places charge about $ 5 to 10 per hour, sometimes even less.

You can and should of courses search the web for the best deals, but be aware that the SIM cards are for one country only, even when they claim international use, it will often be the same price as you pay on your system.
