properly that's not continuously relating to the seem factor. no longer in trouble-free terms from diffrent countrys yet in u.s. besides some human beings do no longer relize that denstiry is likewise a well being factor. The caps that I belive which you would be speaking approximately are suggested as crowns. extremely some the time befor a man or woman gets a crown they get some thing suggested as a root canal, that's whilst the basis of the teeth is taken out to avert soreness that replaced into probaply brought about by to a lot decay. whilst the basis of the teeth is taken out extremely some the teeth is long previous besides and and in trouble-free terms the outter shell of the teeth is there and is not any longer sturdy adequate to stand on my own, that's wher the crown comes into place, that way a man or woman can eat as noramal without soreness or further decay.

I still have all my own teeth.
OK, I have one crown - but that was because I had a root canal and the tooth went yellow. It was a front tooth and after spending 5 painful years in braces costing my parents somewhere around 10 grand (the equivalent of 100 grand today), I wasn't going to let it go 'au naturel'.
There was only one person in my family who had dentures, and that was because unfortunately he had peritonitis (sic?) as a child (that's gum disease to the layman). You see, back during the Great Depression (you probably haven't heard about that, it was a time in American history when everybody was poor!), people were so fixated on not letting their children starve or freeze to death that I guess they didn't focus so much on dental hygiene. And so it was with my dad's family, with 11 children (3 died in infantcy). Go rent the DVD of "Cinderella Man" or "The Grapes of Wrath" to get an idea of what I'm talking about.

I dont, I have all my teeth except the wisdoms that are normally pulled. In fact I have only known a few younger people who had false teeth and they were former dopers that cuased their teeth to rot out. Other than that just older people.

Not all Americans wear false teeth.
But I guess they wear them because they can pay for great quality dental care with their own money and not rely on big nanny socialist government health to pay for them.

Good question. I have no idea.
When will Brits practice Dental hygiene. There are Drs. called orthodontists.
Is it something in the water?

Where'd you get THAT idea? I'd say 95% of the people I know DON'T have dentures (and at 54- than means most of THEM are around my age!). Do you live in a Retirement facility or something? :)
