Im curious to know what order the .hack//'s are in. I currently saw roots and sign.
Im also curious to why the huge lag jump in material from the last 2 episodes in .hack//roots.

.hack//Sign is the first, I think. It takes place fairly shortly after The World is supposedly opened up, circa 2007 in their timeline.
.hack//Liminality seems to follow Sign, since it deals with comas and players who are stuck in "The World," while in Tsukasa's case (Sign) he seems to be the only one.
.hack//Roots takes place in "The World R:2" and comes well after Sign and Liminality, circa 2016 in their timeline.
I have trouble placing .hack//Legend of the Twilight. I think it takes place in between Liminality and Roots, but I'm not positive.
