Like joining a religion, club.
I joined a religious group and don't want to leave completely because (a) I don't know if I would be worse or better off leaving. (b) I think they might be able to help me in certain areas of dating or employment.

(c) and also I don't know if the religion will make me a better person or not. This is the biggest question I have. I have been not religious and usually with non religious people and wondered if I were to join a religious group and hang around religious people, will I be a better person (better being healthier, smarter, safer, less in any type of troubles in life with others or places) and I still have a hard time figuring it out. Because there are those who are non-religious and scientific who are okay in life, and there are those who are religious who do extreme things sometimes. It's kind of hard to say, whether being religious is helpful or not to one's life.

Obviously, you feel hypocritical of your membership...being a hypocrite is not a desirable trait, no matter what your reasons. If you are Gay, and if you belong to a church, then would you still be welcome if they knew you were Gay? If not, then I would not belong to such a group, I certainly would give them no money. If this is the case, you are selling your soul for some chance at a gain...if you cannot make gains on your own, you are making a pitiful statement. Good luck and peace.

Stay where you are? My old friend was changing congregation every 3 months after found there were no young single men in the church. She ended up in a mental facilities.
Don't live a lie. If is for employment purpose just tell them the truth if they want to help you they will do that no matter your faith.
Dating ...don't be so sure you can find Mr/miss right in a place you least expect

Only you know if your life is better or worse because of this "group".......in all religions/faiths/groups don't forget to use your head.....there's a reason it sits on top of your body.
