Well, what you have developed is a sexual deviation, and would be categorized as irregular. Intense therapy with a psychiatrist would be in your best interest. Regardless of the number of individuals who indulge that or any other deviation, it requires attention, and can be harmful to yourself as well as others. Typically, the need for irregular stimuli for sexual gratification is associated with disturbances, and leads to anti-social behavior (remember the movie "Silence of the Lambs"?). Get yourself help immediately.

I would call it scatophillia, but your word works also.
You can make a living out of studying scat. Archaeologist and biologists who are researching old cave sites often run into petrified scat and they send it to labs to be studied.
On human scat, as well as animals, you can tell what they were eating by those investigations and thus get an idea of what was environment existed a zillion years ago when they were dropped.
I would, however, discuss your situation with your psychologist. He is sworn to keep your private things secret and it would help you to get this off your mind.

I can't give you advice but I can tell you that I have heard of this and it is far more common than one might think! There are even movies on stuff like this. (I haven't watched any people but I have seen them in the video store) You may find someone who is into it just as you are and you two could be happy together. Whatever goes on between two consenting adults in the bedroom in just that - their business. Good luck with talking to your counsel er about this though. It may help you find out where it stems from. You do know that if children are left alone they will smear scat all over themselves as well as the areas around them- even play with it!! Don't beat yourself up over this!

I am not qualified to judge you or anyone else for that matter, so I won't even try.
I have been in therapy for about 5 years now for my emotional problems. There were issues that I was terrified to talk to my therapist about even though I knew they were problems in my life.
So what I did was to write the things I couldn't talk about in my journal and then presented them in that format to my therapist. I included in my writings the fear I had talking about those things.
My big problem wasn't the same as yours but just as troubling.
If you don't think you can do that with the person your seeing get a new therapist or another therapist.

When I was very very young I used to be curious what it is. So when I was getting potty trained I stuck my hand down there and took it and tried it out. My mom found me full of it in my mouth etc. Its gross I know, but its a childhood stage where kids are curious about what comes OUT of THEM. So they experiment. ...As the Bunny guy mentioned, he was right.
Also, it might have registered at the wrong time and you associated it with something pleasurable or fun. talk to a professional and make it sound less gross so its less embarassing for you. Try over the phone maybe. Good luck!!

The suggestion presented by 'Death Bunny' is very wise. You need help for your overall health, and your issue is going to take some work to resolve. You need to find a professional that gives you an environment of love and acceptance, so that you can find healing for your soul.

Something about poop has given you much pleasure historically, and is emotionally tied into your brain's pleasure center.
I suggest talking to a psychiatrist--who should remain professional about this--and--if they can't help you--ask them to refer you to someone who can.
As you probably know, there are emotional consequenses to your interest and health consequences so you may also start with a gneral practitioner and then ask for a referral from them.

If it bothers you that much, see a psychologist they have heard it all before, and they are the only ones to answer Why! The reason you have this fetish could be a different reason than someone else, and please do not be embarrassed about being different, we all are different. Good luck.

If it has a name, and it does, then your psychologist has heard of it. Its not terribly uncommon in some groups, and even has an off shoot, people who wear diapers for excitement.
IF it bothers you talk to your Dr about it.
