Well I have posted once or twice in more than one category mainly because I wasn't sure which category was best suited for the question. So if I didn't get enough answers or answers that I felt were not meaningful, in one category, I would try another. However, I never asked the same question in different categories for the purpose you state although maybe I will in the future.

Well I posted one in the right category and got nothin' so did it again in the P&S category and got way more answers..
But last night I posted my question 3 times 2x in DIY by accident!!! Finally on the third try I got it right...
