Barry opted out of the MLBPA licensing agreement several years ago. If a company wants to include him in anything, they must deal directly with him.

Barry bonds a couple of years ago forced MLB to stop marketing his image (he wanted to control his "image" and more importantly (much more importantly for him) to be the only one to profit from it. So when a company contracts with MLB on a game or a promotion if they wanted barry bonds involved they would have to work out a separate contract with him. To my knowledge no other baseball player has done this, however years ago Micheal Jordan did the same thing in the NBA.

Licensing. Bonds doesn't participate in the group licensing agreement the MLBPA offers its members, so his name and likeness are unavailable to licensors unless they deal directly with Bonds or his representatives. Opting out is within the rights of every MLBPA member, Bonds happens to be the only one who does.

Don't asked me why he just opted to take his name out of video games, however they did he was replaced by R. Stocker in MLB video games, the stats are similar and there is no face, deffinately the B.B. subsitute

you can always create him if u have mlb the show. i dont know about other baseball games because the one I got is the best.

becuase he is not a member of the MLBPA. thats why barry was goign to make his own baseblal game with him in it.

i dont know why but in my games he is on the legendary players team or teams like that.
