and i have a combi boiler, after a minute or so the squeaking stops, i have tried truning the pressure down at the stopcock and it does minimise the squeaking but the pressure is so low when someone turns a tap on the low pressure light comes on and the water stops coming out of the shower.

Sorry actually think it isnt fed off the combi boiler. It is definately an electric shower, a Mira sprint.
The sqeak sounds as if its coming from the unit itself when its switched on. Its like a pulsing squeak as if its something to do with the water pressure. It does stop after a couple of minutes usually. The squeak lessens usually if i turn the power Hot/cold dial about.

It can't be an electric shower if it's fed from a combi boiler. I can't attempt to answer this question untill you give the correct facts on what equipment is fitted!! Where is the squeak coming from??

Could be a dry o-ring seal , moving slightly as the pressure fluctuates. It would need to be dismantled to check.

An electric shower does not run off a combi, it runs on cold water mains pressure, remove the shower head, if it is a good quality head, it will be openable, and the inside can be cleaned, get rid of the muck inside and in the little holes and that should help, if not, the shower heater is clogged, replace the shower unit.

Hi again its a problem with your boiler. I am afraid you need to have it looked at.
Do your radiators get hot when you run the tap if so its the diaphram on your boiler
