.....even after so much time has passed, and that to each other you should be or probably to one of the people are the past, yet still find yourself wanting their presence? Even when you know that they're practically gone for ever - or can't rekindle any form of friendship or relationship with them due to past hurts, regrets or guilt?

Yeah, I had a friend in high school named Carol that was pretty much the best friend I ever had. But girls are cruel and I was cruel and i ruined our friendship.

I miss my cousin that died. We grew up together and when i moved away to college i lost touch with him, then he was in an accident and i feel guilty that i didnt let him know how much he meant to me.

Life is too short to regret anything. If you miss someone and they are still alive, let them know. With someone passing away and being gone forever is too hard to deal with and i am sure that person misses you as well.

Oh sure and go a little farther. Moved away, moved on or passed away. It helps me to just recall good memories. Don't cry that it's over just smile and be glad it happened.

No. I wouldn't rob myself of the pleasure of others and new relationships for something from the past.

Learning to let go allows for peace and happiness.

Appreciate what you had and then move on.

yes i know what u mean. like the person you knew kind of died and became someone else but you keep hoping that they'll change back, waiting for them even though you know they'll never come. if you really love someone you will keep loving and missing them forever, even if you love them for who they used to be. it hurts. you just have to learn to move on and learn from it.
