They're both excellent ... it's just that Harry Potter seemed to reach more people.

!....it's all down to whether or not the book becomes a film.
To be honest (sorry if I upset HP fans but it's how I feel), HP is the first book I've read that wasn't as good as the film. I do enjoy it but if it wasn't for that film I doubt it would have been as big as it is.
