I'm a Japanese and English language learner.
I mostly use "favorite" since I'm mainly studying American English.
But I sometimes use "favourite" depending on situations.

Favorite is the American English way of spelling it, and favourite is the British English way of spelling it.
Lots of words are like that, such as "color" and "colour."
