So I went to this strip club, and it turned out one of the dancers was my ex-wife's cousins daughter. Small world, huh? Well I didn't want to let any of the guys I was with know that I was related to her so I just ignored her, and she ignored me. But should I have left? If it had been a topless club it might not have bothered me, but this was nude, and I felt a little creepy.

Wow...that's every color of wrong.

I'd avoid eye contact and be sure not to go back. After all it's not as if you were stalking her or hanging out at strip clubs on a regular basis. Right?

This girl was your EX-wife's cousin's daughter, so there is actually no true relation other than the fact that you knew her.

In my opinion, it seems wrong to actually watch her perform due to the fact that you were related to her at one point (and also assuming that she must also be MUCH younger than you).

Feeling creeped out is completely understandable.. at least you didn't watch her with googly eyes like most perverted men out there.
I think you did the right thing by ignoring her and not mentioning anything to your friends about knowing her.

It's hard to judge without more information. Got any pics?

But seriously, if she's not ashamed to work there...and you aren't ashamed to be a customer there, then there shouldn't be a problem. Every dancer there is SOMEONE's cousin...

(BTW, she's not your niece...she would be your wife's second cousin-once removed. But since it's an "ex", you really aren't even related at all.)

Not actually your niece. At least she had a job and not on a corner holding a sign saying "Will work for food" Load the G with a bunch of money and say hello at the Thanksgiving dinner next year.

Yes preety creepy to see a family member and i agree - ifyou were alone it would have been better to leave however, if you walked out in frontof your friends not only would they have known and she would / could have been identified but she may have been embarrased - id stay away from the joint in the futre and put it down to a bad expereince!
If you see her again she will probably be really embarrased so just be mindful and sensitive!!

Your Ex-Wifes cousins daughter?

Your not related, at all. Even when you were married you were not really related to her.

I thought you were talking about your brother/sister's kid. That would have been wrong... but to the extent your were or were not related... nah

I would say that if it made you uncomfortable, then ya leave or if she told you it made her uncomfortable, leave, but otherwise nah...

She is stripping. She knows what she is doing. You were a the nudie bar.. you knew what you were doing.

Good Luck!

Yeah you should have left but it is too late to take it back now but just dont go there again and it is not like you knew she worked there so you shouldnt feel grossed out and it was a good thing that you did not bring attention to the situation.

yes, it's creepy, in many ways. you probably should have left. you were only related by marriage, but you were still related. and stop and think about it, you are now the creepy guy twice the age of these girls who goes to watch them naked. maybe next time find a safer place to be with the guys.

Yes, because what it means is that your relationship with her, your thinking about her, has changed. It's not so much a moralistic thing, I'm not saying that. It's a relationship issue and once that bridge is crossed you can never go back to the same way of thinking about her as you did before.
