And when you come back to reality, you will realize she will never be president.

If she's elected, she's too smart to do something as dumb as illegally wiretapping GOP phones. That wouldn't be covered under executive privilege, even GWB knows that. So the specific example in your question is wrong.

On the other hand, there would be some communications between the president and his/her staff that WOULD fall under executive privilege. And, when a "President Hillary" claims that the privilege applies to a specific situation, after the inevitable political wrangling that will ensue it will be settled in the COURTS as the Constitution requires.

It's likely the argument that the executive needs absolute unreviewable unchecked power will only apply when the official in office is of the same political party as the person.

Which is utterly foolish -- but nothing new for the US.

Oh, they'll stop it faster than Alberto Gonzales can say "I don't recall!"

Our representatives (of all parties, at all levels) really should learn to think long-term, not just short-term. The rights given to one president get passed on to the next president. The bridge you put off repairing today may collapse tomorrow. I know we're a short-attention-span, fast-food kind of culture, but really... if they could show a little maturity, please?

Whoever the next President is, he or she will have to have extraordinary strength of character to not continue the precedent set by the Bushies when it comes to executive privilege and executive powers.
